Jet’s Pizza had a wide range of options on its menu: deep dish, New York-style, hand-tossed, thin-crust pizzas, salads, etc.
Jet’s already diverse menu grew even more when they added the two types of gluten-free pizza crusts they now offer, 1-their regular GF dough and 2- the seasoned cauliflower crust.
I had the chance to taste test both of these crusts at one of their Georgia locations and learned about their menu options to see how well Jet’s caters to gluten-free and special dieters.
Below, I’ll lay everything out about the pizzas’ taste, texture, preparation style, prices, and everything I learned about their GF menu so Jet’s is no surprise if you decide to give them a shot.
Let’s start with the key takeaways…
Key Takeaways
- Jet’s Pizza has two gluten-free crusts: a regular gluten-free, and a cauliflower crust
- Both GF crusts come in small sizes
- The regular GF crust is square-shaped, and the cauliflower crust comes in a standard round shape
- You can ask for one of their signature combinations to be made on the crusts or build your own
- Jet’s has no dairy-free cheese, so unless you can eat pizza without cheese, there are no vegan pizzas at Jet’s
Pizza’s Review | Taste, Texture, Prep, and Price
For the Jet’s review, I decided to give both of their GF crusts a shot. I opted for the build-your-own option to choose toppings I thought would be best suited for each crust’s texture.
For the regular gluten-free crust, I picked pepperoni and Italian sausage.
For the cauliflower crust, I spiced it up a little and topped it with jalapenos, green pepper, banana pepper, and threw in Italian sausage to balance out the veggie flavors.
I did pretty well in matching the right toppings with each crust because the overall flavors were balanced and nothing was overpowering.
Here’s more detail on the taste and texture of each crust:
Regular GF (Taste & Texture)
The regular GF crust tasted slightly yeasty (like beer bread) but was still close to wheat-based dough in terms of flavor.
The mozzarella was really fresh; it not only stood out in taste but also had a strong odor that I smelled even before taking a bite.
No complaints about the pepperoni and Italian sausages, either. They were fresh and evenly cooked.
The texture, however, didn’t quite impress. The crust wasn’t thin and not exactly as thick and full as regular doughs, either.
The outer part of the crust was crispy but the inner portions were too chewy and felt like sandwich bread. Maybe the recipe would’ve done better if the crust was shaped to be thinner, so it could’ve been crispier.
Overall, I’d try it again, but I would add more toppings this time so the doughy texture wouldn’t stand out as much.
Cauliflower Crust Pizza (Taste & Texture)
The cauliflower crust tasted and felt much more generic. By generic, I mean it tasted and felt no different than a frozen cauliflower crust from any grocery store.
It just didn’t have the same pizzeria-style freshness as Blaze Pizza’s or Pieology’s cauliflower crusts.
Obviously, the cheese and the sauce were the same as the regular GF pizza and the toppings were fresh as well, so no surprises there.
As for any funny veggie smells, I didn’t smell any cauliflowerishy odor from the pizza, but there was a little veggie aftertaste.
Overall, I wasn’t blown away by the cauliflower pizza’s taste or texture.
If you’d like to give their cauliflower crust a shot, I’d recommend saltier and drier toppings because they will do a better job bringing out the crust’s flavor.
Pizza Preparation
Jet’s gluten-free preparation style is similar to every other traditional pizza place. They use the same oven for cooking, and all pizzas are prepared in a “shared environment”.
The staff will take cautionary measures to keep your GF order as clean as possible, but you shouldn’t expect your pizza to be completely uncontaminated.
That said, if you have gluten intolerance or a medical condition such as Celiac Disease, Jet’s should NOT be your spot.
Price
The prices at Jet’s are very fair compared to most pizza place offering gluten-free, but it can add up if you choose to build your own pizza. This is because Jet’s charges for each topping when you’re building your own pie.
I recommend ordering one of their signature pizzas and having the combo made with your choice of their gluten-free crust. This way you’ll save about $3 – $4 for a GF pizza with at least 3 toppings.
Either way, here’s what I paid for each of my orders:

Jet’s Pizza Gluten Free Menu
Jet’s website has an allergen menu with a wide range of allergens featured, including gluten, that can be used to filter out menu items that don’t agree with your diet. However, the food item listings that the filter provides are not organized well and are hard to navigate.
To make things easier on your eyes, I’ve gone through all of the gluten-free foods listed by the allergen menu and organized them by category down below.
Keep in mind that it also doesn’t hurt to ask your server about the ingredients for each menu item either, as the allergen menu isn’t always up to date.
