Notes

Just a couple of points to consider.
1- It’s best if you place your crust on a baking rack and then put the rack in your oven.  This will allow airflow to the bottom of the crust, helping your crust to cook evenly and be crispier.
2- Whole Foods’ Cauliflower Crust needs some broiling time (1-2 minutes max).  Broiling will ensure the crust’s texture is less airy and more crispy.

Whole Foods Cauliflower Pizza Crust Baking Tip

As always, we recommend that you read the cooking instruction listed on the crust box and consider our tips for an even better baking experience.

Whole Foods cauliflower crust’s instructions were adequate, but when we followed them, the crust did not turn out as crispy and firm as we would have liked.

Here is what the instruction says:

Preheat oven to 425°F. Remove crust from the film wrap and place on a nonstick baking sheet. Bake for 6-8 minutes or until crust is fully cooked.

Our Baking Tips

We did two things differently and got much better pizza crust out of Whole Foods’ crust.

First, we placed the crust on a baking rack and then put the baking rack on top of the oven rack. This way, the crust got adequate airflow, and it cooked evenly and ended up crispy.

We used a baking rack because placing cauliflower crusts on a baking sheet eliminates airflow to the bottom of the crust and the crust does not cook evenly and windup soggy in the middle.

So, we highly recommend placing your crust on a baking rack and then placing the baking rack on top of the oven rack. This way, the crust gets adequate airflow, and it cooks evenly and ends up crispy.

Second, Whole Foods crust instruction says to bake for 6-8 minutes. We found that 8 minutes in addition to 1-2 minutes of broiling produced a much crispier crust.

Of course, baking times may have to vary depending on your oven’s condition, but for this crust, we don’t recommend less than 8 minutes of baking.

So don’t be afraid to go over the recommended baking time, but be sure to keep an eye on your crust so it doesn’t burn.

And, of course, enjoy your delicious, homemade Little Caesars Veggie Pizza on Whole Foods cauliflower crust!
